Estepona Marina

Only 1.4 km away from the town center, the marina is a beautiful urban complex with an unmisteakable touch. To stroll round the area is a real delight, feeling the sea air, enjoying the view, the boats, the relaxed people here and there looking for a place to offer themselves a well deserved rest. Such search possibly rewarded in one of the many good restaurants available in the marina.

The Port is situated at the west end of the town’s seafront. The Yachting Harbour is a very pleasant place to wander among the boats and has a wide variety of excellent cafeterias and restaurants, where one can eat outside on the terraces. There is also a children’s playground, a supermarket, news agents, a bakery and cash point machines. There is a popular tourist market on Sunday mornings. In the adjacent Fishing Port you can take a walk to the end of the pier and see the lighthouse, watch the fishing boats land their catch, the fishermen mending their nets and, early in the morning, the fish auction.

The Port connects with the centre of town by the seafront promenade, a 20 minute walk, and the Avenida del Carmen, a wide avenue with ample sidewalks and lots of plants and flowers making a walk here a pleasant holiday activity. The town itself is typically Andalusian, with narrow streets and shady squares, and has a daily market, all the shops one would need and lots of good bars with terraces. Travelling by car when you are based in the port area is very easy, since the Avenida del Carmen connects with the ring road around Estepona and all the main roads to Marbella (20 minutes away), the golf courses, Malaga (the airport is 45 minutes away), Ronda, Gibraltar, Granada, Seville and so on.
